I have found that in ministry, if we try to be everything to everyone, we end up being an inch deep and a mile wide. Lately I have been thinking about the power of having a vision that is extremely focused.
“To be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles”….. Apostle Paul from the book of Romans chapter 15.
Paul was not just a minister, he was a minister of Christ. Paul was not just a minister of Christ, he was a minister of Christ to the Gentiles. Paul knew who he was and who he was not. Paul had “focused vision.”
Everyone of us should take inventory of who we are and who we are not. What are we good at? What are our gifts? Who do we influence? What drains us? What are we not good at? Individuals and Churches need to take inventory, pray, and process until we come out with a God inspired vision that is focused!

If individuals/organizations aren’t careful they will allow the momentum of what they are great at push them into areas that they are less than great at.
